Pc takes too long to boot up

I would suggest a BIOS update. It could very well be something with that as well.

That may be true but why would it happen out of the blue when I havent changed anything in my PC. It was running fine 2 nights ago and nothings changed.

My motherboard recently would sometimes hang at windows startup (black screen for about 20 seconds for no reason at all. Checked the motherboard's website and I needed a BIOS update to correct the problem.... Worth a shot for you.

Well did yours also hang for almost 5 mins at welcome screen? Also mine doesnt do it sometimes it does it every single time.

I no longer have XP. but with Vista you can view what event is making your system startup slow

maybe you can find it on XP too

I've looked at that. No errors at start up in event viewer.

Anyone ever had this problem before? I've googled my eyes off and I still cant find out why this is happening

At this point there is nothing more that can be suggested other than a Repair install or a format and reinstall. There is something causing this conflict. Maybe driver or driver software that is loading? We dont know for sure.

It could be a update to a anti-virus program that you are running. There are so many factors that come into play. Could very well be a corrupted profile.

This is saying that those security indexes were no longer in use and that it deleted them. They are most likely security indexes for web sites. Like cookies.

The 5th one tells you how much space your system files are taking up.
The 6th one tells you how much space your check disk log is taking up.
The last one tells you how much free space is left on your system in KB.
