tastegw and Press Corpse, what do you guys think about this for the CPU cooling unit? And do you think I will need heatsinks for my GFX? Thanks!

Newegg.com - Vigor Monsoon III LT Dual 120mm Fan CPU Cooler Socket 1366 Ready - CPU Fans & Heatsinks

sorry for the late response, thats not a bad cooler, alot of members here have it, or from other forums, i cant remember.

i dont think it will disapoint ya at all.

overall the build looks solid thus far. and more than enough power for your needs for a good amount of time (until new software comes out that requires more than what you have lol)

Get this psu: Newegg.com - PC Power & Cooling PPCT860 860W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply - Power Supplies

I had a thermaltake and it died on me last year. PC P&C is the best around

Oh and I recommend the Newegg.com - EVGA 132-BL-E758-A1 LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards. It is an awesome mobo and I think it will be easier for someone with as little experience as you.

What size monitor do you have? Either way, GTX285's is a great choice :D

Why are you getting 2 1tb drives? Do you realize how much space that is? I bought one of those WD Caviar Black 1tb drives like 5 months ago and I store alot of movies and games on it and I still have 649GB left.

Yeah... I know, but I do an obscene amount of backup for movies and tons of music and everything and I'm pretty sure I can put them to very good use :) At any rate, what do you think about the rest of the system?

All right... I'm starting the ordering process!! Thanks to everyone so very much for helping me out with this... I'll let you know how this goes when it is all done!!

Everything looks great! You are going to have one awesome rig. Thanks for using my suggestions! Rep me please?
