My friend is looking for a graphic card, he is in the price range of $100-$200. He is stuck however, he could either go with a 9800GTX+ for around $150, or get something else. I recommended a GTX 260 for $200 but he was like "Dude thats too much money." What are you guys opinions on it?

What are his system specs? What is his monitor's resolution?

But I can suggest this for now:

I think it's on par or better than the 9800GTX+.

Oh ok. Then go for either 9800GTX+ or HD4850. Which ever is cheaper, because they're on par with each other give or take a little.

P35 chipset doesn't support SLI.

I agree....unless you are going to get one of the very best cards available now....jus stay put....the 9800gt is a very good card.

an HD 4850.. its a step up from an 9800GT

However, I would wonder why waste $150 to buy another, because its not that much of a step up
