I don't really care for the whole SLI/Crossfire thing, but yea, I am sure Nvidia will make a chipset or allow AMD to make a chipset to allow SLI, wish they could make a SLI/Crossfire board instead of one or the other...

AM3 can use the same chipset and AM2+ mobos can, and there plenty of sli boards already, even a tri-sli board which is based off the 780a chipset, thats the board im running.

I knew that, as the only AM3 boards out right now are using older chipsets, I just wish they would hurry up and get a new chipset out along with AM3...

May be better, but since this is going to be an interim machine, the extra money may just get wasted. If the 720BE was better priced, I may have thought about it for a longer term machine, but eh. I really wanted to get a black edition.

I would say that they can run on any chipset just about, mostly because the memory controller is on the processor...
