Old dell cases

I have a dell laptop and an old dell xps to recover data from. I thouhgt I would do the easy job first and take out the hard drive put it into my machine and copy the contents across. However the hard drive is literally jammed in.

Argh!

They're sometimes in cages that have to be pulled out first, and then the drive taken out. Kinda depends on the layout because I've seen it multiple ways before lol.

Both of our old dells had quick slide rails for optical, floppy and hard drives

Bit of a joke really, simple job take out the hard drive, put it into another machine, copy files accross, put hard drive back in crapped machine and return.

However nice welded hard disks arnt too hard to remove.
