Hi i just bought a secound hand computer off a shop it has a

micro star ms 6583 mother board

can anyone tell me how old these boards are?


please dont ask for any details as i dont have it all plugged in as im just wondering if this 7900gs 512mb ddr3 AGP graphics card would work inside it as it had a 64MB card inside it

It should but it's probably an AGP 4x slot, so it'll not be as efficient as an 8x...

but what about your PSU? will it handle the card?

Yes, and I also removed the link to the card... no need to have it posted.

the recommended PSU for this card is 400W, with at least 20A on the +12v side... so you'll need to check that out.

i dont know if i can upgrade the PSU on this mother board......

do you know how old the mother board is? as i only just bought it like 3 days ago...it had a 64MB graphics card so i took that out and geting the one i posted in this tomorrow if it will work
