Cannot uninstall Symantec Antivirus Client

Guys;

A friend of mine trying to remove the "Symantec Antivirus Client " from his machine is prompted to enter a password which he doesn't know.

This happens although logging on as the administrator.

How can this be done without the password.

I need to install Nortan Antivirus 2004, but I can't without unistalling Symantec Antivirus client. I don't know the password.

If it's his machine and doesn't know the password, maybe there isn't one. did you try just hitting enter?

i would delete the files and clean my registry...but ofcourse that's just me
