INstalling RAM Problems

I just installed a 512 Ram in my Dell computer...when I went reboot. It said my memory had changed, and gave me ..strike F1 to retry boot, F2 for setup tility. F1 did nothing for me and F2 just tells me how much mem I put in...so I decided to put my old Ram Modules in which is 2x 256 ....the same thing is happening! Pleas help!!!!

Moved to correct forum. More of a hardware issue than overclocking...

go in the bios and f10 save out with the new memory settings.
