Hey.

This is my current setup and im looking to upgrade what should I upgrade first?

Windows XP 64bit Pro
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3500+
2GB Ram
80GB Hard Drive
NVIDIA GeForce 6600 256mb

Your best bet would be to upgrade the hard drive first.. More capacity.

If you're into gaming, update the video card too, with that said, you almost might want to upgrade to 4GB of ram.

XP 64bit is good, and your processor is pretty decent.

Personally... IMO I would upgrade your GPU first (as long as your PSU can handle a newer card on the +12v side) then do your mobo/CPU later on... Your ram amount is still good... Maybe for giggles you could upgrade to a better set, depending on what kind you have.

If you not into gaming and want to CPU power... upgrade your CPU to a Dual core... this is more-than-likely a S939 chip so you could get an AMD x2 3800+ but they are hard to find now, and you'll pay more...

and if you really that bored with it... I highly suggest saving your money, and build a whole new setup.

I agree with Nukem....upgrade thr video card, if your power supply can handle it.

Well, what do you do? Do you game? Do you watch videos? Do you use this for work type applications? Based on what you do, you should upgrade accordingly.

i would upgrade the mobo first(may have to pair it with a cpu if yours isnt compatible with the new one), so you can start upgrading everything else easier.
