Check out the evga x58, if you are new to overclocking, it has a built in overclock that will take a 920 to 3.2ghz for you with 1 button. I love my evga x58.
 
my aim would be 3,8gHz

and not more than 3 HDDs, but for the moment there will be only 2 1TB Samsung F1 ones inside
 

I have that one, I definitely recommend it. Awesome PSU.

500W won´t be enough?

It would be, but you'll probably run out of connectors. The lower the wattage, the less connectors come with it for some reason.

Check out the Corsair HX520, plenty of power.

What happens if he runs out of connectors? Is there some way to still hook up additional components should he desire to in the future, or would his only option be to upgrade his PSU?

You could get like Y-splitters, or mod it and add more connectors.

Or get those little things that like clip onto the wire to add connectors...dunno what they're called.
