Be careful using it though... some programs are absolutely essential to the operation of Windows. You can go here (http://www.pacs-portal.co.uk/startup_index.htm) and search their exhaustive database in order to determine which startup programs are essential, which are useful, which are junk, and which are malicious.
I've always wondered why certain things find their way into startup. Quicktime is a perfect example of this, why does it need to start up when the computer does? Why can't it just start up when the user wants to use it?
ok go to msconfig
then on the startup (the one befor last) click hide all windows things or w/e, then disable the rest. then in the last tab, just disable all of them
