Hey guys,

Just wanted to get your opinion on the following list I have compiled. My budget runs at about $2,000. So basically I have about $600 to work with for the mobo, case, and RAM.

I'm gonna be doing some video and photo editing, watching hi-def movies, playing a few aviation games, and running some other programs.

Mobo: Still deciding. Suggestions.

CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115202

RAM: 3 x2GB (brand, model?)

PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139006

HDD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136283 I will have two of those...not sure if I will run them in RAID. I also could do a single 1TB HDD? What do you think?

Optical Drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827151173

Case: Must have an e-SATA front port/Mid-tower... I found a reasonable amount that had this...not sure how to pick from them.

OS: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16832116488

Monitor: Dell 23" SP2309W LCD Flat Panel up to 2048x115... (SP2309W) at OWC

GPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102796

You think the GPU will hold up to running that monitor at 2048x1152?

Thanks a lot,

Thanks guys. My final system price seems to keep getting bigger. :D I think right now I'm going to have to go with a graphics card that is around $200, which seems to be the Sapphire Radeon 4870 1GB, unless Nvidia has a comparable one. I can always get another Radeon 4870 and run it with Crossfire right?

Here are the games I will be playing...awesome stuff. I read on a forum that flight simulators rely much more on the CPU than a graphics card. I don't have time to play them very much anyways, so I don't mind turning down the settings.

LockOn - Modern Air Combat

For RAM, what is the difference in timings? I found this page of RAM...all look pretty good to me. G.Skill has a couple of kits that are around the same price, different timings...don't know which one is better.

Newegg.com - Top Sellers, $100 - $200, 6GB (3 x 2GB), 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM, Desktop Memory, Memory, Computer Hardware

Thanks,
