Hi I have a Lenovo Sl400 with little space, but a large music library on my iTunes.

I recently purchsed a WD Passport Essential portable HD to store my music on.

I'm just a bit confused on how to put my iTunes library onto my Passport? I would like it so that there are no music files taking up space on my Lenovos HD and all on my Passport. So how do I go about transferring the iTunes library to the Passport, while still being able to play the music via iTunes on my Lenovo?

Other things that might help answer this:

I get my music through Azureus and it is downloaded onto:

Computer>Documents>Azureus Downloads

I then just upload the DL'd folder into iTunes...

Now apparently I have already transferred the entire Azureus Downloads folder onto my Passport and the music will play. But it opens in WMP and not in iTunes...

Any help would be great, thanks.

yes, to play music via iTunes on Lenovo

just go to start menu -> default programs -> associate a file type or protocol with a program change your .mp3 to iTune

EDIT: scratch above
go to start menu -> default programs -> set your default programs -> click on iTunes and set it as default :p
