What is the best heatsink?

Which power supply should I get? Corsair 850TX or 750TX?

If your a gamer, do you use a mouse pad?

What thermal compound should I get?

oops, forgot. the 850TX is definantely better, will be more future proof. and the core contact freezer comes with some good stuff. see mine and hiki's posts for hardware related stuff

I don't care about future proof since I am getting another build when school starts and this build will be gone in 3 months. Is the TX-2 still the best thermal compound? I heard that the Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme 1366 RT is the best CPU cooler.

hmm, not up to date on i7 coolers as i should be but i think the thermalright is one of the best.

and TX-2 is the best.

go for the 850TX if your going dual GTX285's

I would say go for the Asus Rampage x58 board, the new Corsair DDR3, 750W TX Corsair power supply is plenty.

Then grab the 920 i7 chip, dual 285's, whatever hdd's you need, and a nice big full tower case.

Then spend the rest on peripherals, monitor, and water cooling.

+1
Like said before, go with water cooling.
