externsl hard drive question

Stupid question time, if I hooked up an external HD on one computer with a usb 1.1 connector and put some files on it and then put the external HD on another computer with a usb 2.0 connector and put the files on that computer, would I hurt the external HD in any way? Please let me know even though I believe I know the answer.

no. usb 1.1 and 2.0 are compatible. as long as the device is backwards compatible.

it should say it on the box.

but it will be fine. the only thing with usb 1.1 is it is a little bit slower that 2.0

Since it worked on both 1.1 and 2.0 I am going to say yes.
