Just so you know, the HD 4830 is actually ranked above the 9800GT and the 8800GTS 512MB. It is a great card with fantastic bang-for-buck ratio.

Yes, I see that in the graphic card rankings here....the only upgrade would actually be the 4850......thanks for that.

wow....that video card has jumped up $25 since yesterday......he may want a different card now....but that is no big deal.

it may be a better "bang for your buck" but the 8800GTS 512MB is still faster than the 4830.

the list has been updated, it is under the 8800GTS 512MB

Yeah I just noticed that yesterday. Wonder what caused the change. Oh well, still Bang-for-Buck and probably better than the 8800GTS 512 in some situations, but not all.

The 8800GTS (G92) is still better than the 4830, the 4830 is only slightly above the 8800GT/9800GT. but the only bad thing is there are no more 8800GTS's around. so it's only real competition is the 9800GTX.

Yeah, from the benchmarks I saw, it was almost always above the 8800GT/9800GT even the SSC/OC versions. A lot of the time it was only a few frames less than the 4850 in most of the games, which eventually is what made my choice.

I agree that the 4830 is the sweet spot for gaming on like a 19 inch monitor, as it seems to run alittle cheaper than the 9800GT in most cases.

The 4830 is what my buddy is going to use in this build......the only thing that I do not like about some of them is that they do not vent the air out the back of the card......not a real big deal, since the price is right.

My card is like that, too. Hasn't been a big deal, though. My system temps are all still low and safe :D
