SuperSpeed USB 3.0 FAQ

Anyone with questions about the new USB 3.0 spec should check out the new SuperSpeed USB 3.0 FAQ brought to you by the guys at EverythingUSB.

Dubbed "SuperSpeed USB", USB 3.0 promises a major leap forward in transfer speeds and capability, while maintaining backwards compatibility with USB 2.0 devices. It may sound straightforward, but a lot has had to change; in this FAQ we will address the most common questions about USB 3.0 and explain in plain English what it all means.

Yea, with some files reaching multiple gb, and external drives hitting 500gb+ they could use the extra speed, heard a year ago about USB 3.0 but havent heard of anything else other than it supporting gigabit and up speeds, but thats probably changed...

^usb 2.0 is still the most used, esata is not used much. So usb will get even further ahead. But esata is not really meant for that sort of thing. Looks promising, the talk of usb 3.0 has been around for several years now... wonder exactly when it will start being used. USB 10.0 would be cool lol.
