64 bit OS

do u guyz know when the 64 bit windows OS is gonna come out. coz i'm planning 2 build quite a high end system n wanna b jus in time when it comes out. thanx a lot!!

there is already a 64bit windows OS: Windows Server 2003 64bit

there is a 64 bit XP out, do you mean when windows longhorn is released? you'll be waiting a while in that case

as far as I know XP64 is still beta
there are Longhorn 32bit alpha versions available

yeh but the proper version of longhorn(can't wait for em to change that name) wont be out for ages yet, i heard 2005 at first but i also heard someone say 2008, they might try to rush it as 64 bit processors are pretty popular even with a higher price

Ye. I read in a mag tht the XP64-bit version will come out sumtime in 2005! it was delayed... agen...!

yes, but there is a 32bit and a 64bit version
64bit has still to be released
