so whats your most expensive desktop part?

my best guess for most of us, its the gpu.

if your cpu is most expensive...
a) your running a budget build
b) your running some fancy hardware all around
c) you bought a dell

but others may be different..
other--->water cooling kit, some fancy smancy cooling device, or even blue ray (altho these are fairly cheap nowadays)

just wanting to gather some info.


edit: ill start it out,
my video card @ $333 was my most expensive part.

Yeah, everybody hear is most likely gonna be GPU, I7 builds and Extreme cpus will be more.

Some servers, or computers with a heck load of DDR3 ram could be the most expensive though.

Well your CPU or GPU would normally be the more expensive of the lot.. but here is one that NO ONE will think of..

Easily the Monitor can be the most expensive mine was 350 U.S. and I want to get an HD monster for between 2 and 3 thousand U.S. find another single part of a build that would be anywhere near that
