Well the data loss percentage = the chance of one drive crapping on you....

Don't go with Water Cooling as you are still new to this whole scene (aspire.comptech [he's our H20 Cooling Guru] recommends avoiding Water Cooling unless you really know what you are doing) ... and it limits portability some...

Alright, I might go with two 500GB HDD's in RAID 0, and 1 TB for eveything else.

I want to mod my case like this guy: Cosmos S Project/Build Log - XtremeSystems Forums
(The last page is sad..) D'=

I saw a video of these two guys in a garage modding cases, and painting them, and they look absolutely amazing. Search case mods on youtube, and some watercooling, it looks cool. Is it hard to do that kind of stuff, and can I do that in my garage??

Can someone tell me the differnce between these two sound cards? Which one is better, because the Creative was recommended over the HT Omega Claro+, but it has worse reviews, and I'm not sure.. And might two GTX295's cover a PCI-E slot?

Can someone recommend me some fans? I would prefer to have some blue fans, descent airflow, yet low noise. I'd also like some lights on my case, like a long skinny lightbulb, that's also blue, but I don't want one that flickers. Also, I would like a LCD temp display. I don't know how to choose these, so please help.

Newegg.com - Silverstone FP35B USB 2.0 Card Reader with extra silver front panel - Card Readers
I know Silver Stone is a good brand, but any other recommendations? All of the other card reader look cheap, and low quality, so I picked this. The Asus P6T only has one fire wire port, and one E-Sata, so I can only put it on the Cosmos S panel, or card reader..

Newegg.com - Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 64-bit for System Builders - Operating Systems
ShouldI get Windows 7, later? Can I upgrade for free, or do I have to buy it, because I heard you get SP2 for free.

Bump.. =.=

Here are some accessories to pimp my case. (Reference to Pimp My Ride ~.-)

Newegg.com - LOGISYS Computer CLK12UV 12" UV COLD CATHODE KIT - Case Accessories
Where should I mount this? I want to place it near the HDD's, but I don't know if it will fit. I want it to reflect my GTX295, & CPU cooler. =D

Oh man.. that's a lot of mney to spend to make your case look cool.. Is there anything that I'm missing, or even any suggetions to add on? better parts to replace would be nice.:snob:

I will also get this: Home Theater PowerCenterâ„¢ HTS 950 with Clean Powerâ„¢ Stage 1

Everything looks great to me. Are you located in the US?(your location states irack) because newegg doesnt ship to anything other than the US, but also has a Canadian website as well. If you live elsewhere, you might need to cruise about other websites. Just a heads up.

lol, I live in O.C. which is in Calfornia. They made a show about it.

Anyone else more reliable?? No offense Corpse, but you have under 20 posts. :freak:

Ok, I really need to pick a sound card, because I want to finish up my build. I'm leaning toward the HT Omega Claro+, because of its good reviews, but I also like the Asus Xonar, because it is newer technology, and has a good reputation.

Here's my receiver:

Is there any way to make these headphones fit my head better? They hurt my ears, because they are slightly too tight, but I found a review, where the guy out the Sennheiser headphones around a pillow, and it streched to fit his head, but that was the 650 something.. I didn't buy it, but I've use it.
Newegg.com - SENNHEISER HD 280PRO 3.5mm Connector Circumaural PROFESSIONAL Headphone

I also heard about TV tuners, but I don't know what they're exactly used for.. I know they record stuff, they but do they record gameplay? Also I picked this one out, if you guys find a better one, please list it.

Is this the address?

omfg.. I'm about to go to another forum! Please I see others get their questions answered quick, and I'm losing my patience.

Firstly, don't be so impatient, we'll get to the thread eventually...

Secondly, post count isn't something to go by when it comes to advice, I mean if we did that things would be screwy..

Now to the questions...

- Sound cards is something to be left to the Audio Section of the forum
- Headphones I've never used before, best ask Ricanflow since he actually owns those exact pair
- TV Tuner is used to watch TV on your comp (with the death of Analog, I don't know if these will still be useful) , but streaming sites can do that too, and you don't need a tuner card...
- The record games is a "Video Capture Card" and that's for like X360 or PS3, if you have to record a PC game, FRAPS can do that
- Gaming Mice is determined by your gaming style (like the shape of your hand when you play)
- Keyboard is something to do based on your preference
- The Address will be fine, but Newegg has multiple warehouses in North America, you can't be exactly sure it'll come from there..
- Ahh you are from the OC, ya I know that show somewhat, my sister watches that out here on SoapNET when we do HW

And is watercooling really $200 buck for a radiator, and $20 for water?!

Not at all, for the most part, you can put together the parts for a cpu water cooling loop for about $250 without any trouble. Also most water coolers use pure distilled water @ $1 a gallon as coolant and simply add some aquarium biocide to keep anything from trying to grow in it.

watercooling seems cool, but in the end its not really worth the money and effort. the results im getting from my air cooling is fine. You get caught up with all this talk with GHz and stuff, If you have a nice GPU, 6GB of ram, and a i920 @ 3.2-3.9 you will play all games you ever want.

Have you ever used real water cooling? If you haven't please don't give advice relating to it.

On a recent tangent, I just pushed my e6600 Core 2 past the 4ghz mark. Needless to say I was pushing 50C on load with a 18C ambient, try doing that with air cooling.
