Vista Problem

When my vista boots, it always asks to run either as vista or an earlier version of windows... I chose earlier windows. Anyways, it made my computer infinitely restart after the 2nd screen, is there any way I can change it to start as vista isntead? I tried reformatting, but it's no use, I do reformat my computer, but it continues to restart.
Edit: Oh god, now when I turn my computer on, it turns off in 3 seconds.

Doesn't seem like a Windows problem now. Try booting with only 1 stick of RAM in.

I only have one stick in already, it was working fine before, I didn't add anything to my harddrive.
