Well its been running for a couple hours now (single 4870) I'm fairly confused overall. I guess I'll see how things play out during the weekend. I appreciate all the the helpful people here!

Can you hook a multimeter up to the 12v+ line on the PSU and check to make sure your voltage is stable??? Because lately my computer has also had a issue with staying on, it just flat out powers down... At very random times... Anyways, just check your voltage.
