yea really..most things don't use all 4 so going higher is only good for servers/people who use a lot of programs that use all cores A LOT
 
or bench whore. its just going to be 2 core i7 die's on one chip. intel finaly did the quad all on one die with the core i7. meaning they can now glue 2 of them together for an octo core chip, expect to see these hit the core i7 line sometime this year imo. what im wondering is what heat output would be like... i do remember seign an octo core chip beign schedueld for mid/late 2009 so. it will be completely useless be incredibaly hot, but people will buy it lol. so they can run gta4, and burn movies and do virus scan at the same time lol.
