as been said already, the amount of Vram necessary for a 30" isn't cutting it with 2 260's, let alone 2 gtx295's. so 3 gtx285's would do the trick, and the third doesn't scale well, and is only there for the vram and extra's. so for that res 3 260's wouldn't be as good as 3 gtx285's.........

Getting three GTX 285's over two 295's isnt gonna make a huge difference, its only an additional 128mb of vram.

And yes the GTX 295 has a smaller bus, but guess what when oc'd it keeps up with GTX 280's.

GTX 285 = 1024mb

GTX 295 = 896mb

You dont add up the memory in SLI.

A non-sli GTX 295 is two GTX 260's with 240 shaders.
