to be fair, i can get the in win psu for 200 bucks with a combo on the 285, thats why i'm looking at it.

Nah, the waterblocks are single slot coolers. And i've been down the quad sli road before, i wont be doing that again. The 295 has a cut down memory buffer compared to the 285.
