Viewsonic LCD 22" resolution problems

I just got a viewsonic 22" model VX2235wm -- the suggested resolution is 1680x1050 but placed on this resolution the screen is too wide (i.e. either the start button doesn't show or the clock doesn't show). I have a new NVIDIA Quadro 3450/4000 and am running a tweaksrus driver installed about a year ago (only driver that works with Animation Master, been afraid to change but in other forums I'm trying to figure out which driver I need.).

Anyone have any ideas?

I think there was a resolution option in my last NVIDIA card I had.. It was in the control panel, I think... Do u have an auto adjust button/feature on your monitor?

I'm a viewsonic fan... Got two right now.. My 15" secondary has an auto adjust.. it should center everything.. Haven't looked for it in my 20" primary..
