CPU Cooling. What is most advisable?

When I had mine it was mounted perfectly correctly, I was playing call of duty and alt tabbed to see what it was at and it was in the 80s not overclocked, the amount of paste you get with them is pathetic.

Ah, that's the hard part. I didn't do that, someone else did. I'll figure it out for myself before the end of the day. The fan is spinning, though.

I was wondering if maybe it was more than just a bad Heatsink+Fan....maybe a bad processor itself. I can't actually tell myself if I need to send that CPU in for another one.
Whether I keep this one, or get a new one, since even in the customer reviews of the E8400, people indicated it wasn't a good Heatsink/Fan, I'm going to get a new heatsink+fan.

The Freezer 7 Pro is a good HSF for the price. You have to ensure you seat it properly this time though. All four pins have to be clicked into place and you should hear the click.

Nah I highly doubt the CPU is or hsf is bad...I would recommend this cooler. FAAAR better than the AF7 pro
