Like we said...the GTX 260 core 216.

GT200 based gpu's are much better than G92 based. A single 260 will really perform very very well. You can grab one now and as they drop further in price, grab another.

Because people like you guys tell em' not to?

no, because they cost like 600 dollars at release. plus, it can only address half of its 1gb of ram (i dont know why they even say it has 1gb, thats really annoying and confusing for the no0bs), which means the 260 has more useable ram. but the gx2 has a bigger bus = more bandwidth, but i dont really think that is important with gddr3.

i was on the verge of buying the BFG one 2 weeks ago from newegg for 250. but, it sold out before i made up my mind.
it will also use A LOT more power than a core 216. it folds like a hoss though.
i see that newegg has the EVGA for 220. not bad. but the 216 is better in a more wide set of circumstances. if you have a game that scales well with SLI and a screen that runs 1900 x 1200 or higher, the gx2 will stomp a single gtx 280. if you play games with crappy SLI support, you basically have a power hungry gts 512.

nope.

8800GTS 320mb/640mb, 8800GTS 512, and the new revision 9800GTX+ are shorter.

The 8800GTX was the first 10.5" card i believe.
