Welcome to Tech Forums.

I wouldn't' get a raptor, the 1tb drive would be nearly as fast.

You would be better off getting a Sunbeam Core Contact, it is currently the best air cooler. It also comes with Tx-2 which is the best thermal paste so you don't need as5.

Newegg.com - Sunbeam CR-CCTF 120mm "Core Contact Freezer" CPU Cooler - CPU Fans & Heatsinks

The psu you picked is good but I would get a Corsair 650tx instead because of it's single 12v rail. The corsair also has a $30 mir.

Newegg.com - CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX 650W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply - Power Supplies

A Hd 4850 is faster than a 9800gt and is well worth the price increase. Also you would have the option to add a second 4850 in the future becase your motherboard supports crossfire.

Newegg.com - HIS Hightech H485FN512P Radeon HD 4850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

^^ that is a freakin sweet setup for that price! i would grab that now if you're lookin to drop $1200

why do you recommend less 12v rails? i thought the more 12v rails the better (other factors aside)... ?

no need to reply, i did my research and now understand the multiple rail myth!
