I am looking a buying a bare bones kit from http://www.computergamingpc.com. So first off if anyone has information on them, I'd appreciate it.
Second the motherboard I am looking at is http://usa.asus.com/products/mb/socket754/k8vse-d/overview.htm, so once again if you guys have any comments on it, please please let me know
I was looking at the board and my friend was put off by only having three RAM slots. He said that he heard somewhere that he heard it was a bad idea to fill up all the RAM slots in the motherboard. I have never heard that before. He also said that if you have 2 Dual Channel Chips, then add in a third chip that, the previous two would not work as Dual Channel.
Now as a disclaimer, I know how Dual Channel Ram works (in premise at least) and I know that you need BOTH to be Dual Channel in order for them to work.
On a last note, is a Raedon 9800 PRO with 256MB for $300
