How much faster is X1650PRO over 3450 ?

Considering the fact that the cards are about 2 generations apart.

After weeks of messing around with different video cards, I chose the 2600 Pro, for the full DirectX 10 support. I don't think I would choose a different card if the option came. I don't know what today's prices are on them, but I picked mine up for $115. It's a little pricey for a 'dead' interface, but it's worth it to keep the computer going for another couple years.

Thanks. 2600XT is selling for $62. If the difference is not great, I would like to stay around $50 max (new/sale/used).

You listed the 2600xt twice under the 62$ and the 44$. Becarefull if you decide to go with the 2600xt alot of the reviews said they recieved a 256mb card instead of the intended 512

256MB vs 512MB. That makes a big difference in performance.

2600 XT uses the 2900 Core does it not?

So that's the main reason the 2600 XT > HD 2600

i liked the 9800 pro, and yes your right, the 2600 HD is crap, the 2600 XT is decent....but price wise cant go wrong with a x1950.....or a 7600 gt...
