Why am I locking up?

When I put serious load on my puter, it'll freeze. It seems to be random.

First noticed once I started smp folding. Might run a day might be 2hrs.

Thought it was stable, but ran prime and 6hrs in, it reboot. Had my ram at 400 5-5-5-15. Ran it to recommended 5-6-6-18, stressed and 4hrs in it locked.

Vcores at 1.31, vid is 1.225. rams at 1.9.

Temps were 47-55. GPU hits 60 if i fold.
Psu is find, by dmm, new install of xp pro.


So any ideas on what to test?

Going to dump my OC, and re tests... Oh ram passed 4 runs of memtest.

Sounds like memory to me. When you ran memtest did you make sure you set it to test all your ram?

Most of the time when its random like that(2hrs - 2days, etc.) its because the spot on the memory thats bad isnt getting a load run through it so once it does your data crashes and the computer reboots.

Yha.. tested all of it... Prime on sdtock seems to be running fine... 12hrs and zip issues.

I would downclock the OC for now and test it again with 4 Primes.

I did... so now I've fired basvck up my smp, and will see what happens.

Just goess to show that one persons stable isn't someone elses stable.

Yep all processors are different even though they are made to be the same.

My systems stable for 90% of folks but, 75% load 95% of the time, its not for my use.
