will a dual slot hd4850 fit in this mobo???

My brother has an intel g31pr mobo. I wanted to know if a dual slot hd4850 will fit in it?

If you mean the connection type, yes, the board has one PCI Express x16 slot so the card would work.

If you mean physically will the card fit, based off of what I saw on Intel's website on that board, as long as he doesn't have something in the the PCI slot below it he should be alright.

In your sig it looks like you have the same card, you could always check space requirements that way.

My hd4850 is the single slot version. So i cant b sure. I want to go with the dual slot cause it will hv better cooling. The card can get extremly hot!

iceman already told you, it takes up two slots.

if theres two free slots, it fits.
