To buy or not to buy? Need some suggestions and recommendations

Hey guys well schools coming up again and I'm thinking about getting a laptop for class (systems security classes so I would use it during class and after)

Now if I was to buy a laptop I can't decide how much power to put in it?
I play a lot of games at home and constantly stream podcasts and video or music. I wanna do some of this during downtime at school

I don't wanna play anything intense maybe just Starcraft, Warcraft 3, Diablo, maybe Worms...lower end stuff like that

Now I would be taking it everywhere so I wanted good battery life and lightweight

Idk guys can I get some help? Opinions? Should I buy?
My budget would be...about 650 or maybe 550 a bit over if needed

you can always check out they're outlet and clearence as well... As a student I would say go for one of these, cause even though we know you would take care of it, who's to say that your roommate, or friend, or something completely by accident wouldn't spill on it, etc, etc, etc... I think the warranty alone is worth it.

But if not, then maybe something like this.
