CPU Temperature with new PSU

I recently bought a new PSU to replace my 650W.
I bought a 750W PSU.
Me browsing the internet on my Q6600 at 3.0GHZ would range 35-45C with the 650W PSU.

I bought a new PSU (750W) and it's still at 3.0GHZ and now ranges from 27-29C.

Why did the temperatures drop so low?

So you think I can push the Q6600 to 3.4GHZ?

What is a limit temperature I should avoid?

If you got a good batch and a decent VID you might...

Otherwise don't count on it

Avoid hitting above 50 or 60 on load (forget which.. haven't seen anybody try to OC a Q6600 in a long time)

61/62 is where you should look to top out at. 72 or 75 is the max that the chip can take for sustained periods of time. I would look to stay in the 50's for 24/7 use. also throw some cpuz/coretemp ss's up of your rig and we'll evaluate how high you can take your proc.

That depends on the power supply i cant say why the temps dropped but cooler is better dont complain 750 watts is a stable flow of voltage. quad cores are weard yet they are the best. Dont complain except and refrain your pc is happy now.
