hp pavillion

i have a hp pavllion 500...
i would like to get into the bios to change the boot-up sequence so i can reformat the drive..hitting f8 puts me in the advance options screen but there is no option to get into the bios any help would be appreciated thanks ..

Pressing the <Delete> key should be the way into the BIOS. FYI that is the basic way of getting into any computers BIOS. Anyway if that doesn't work check out HP's website and look in the FAQ's.

thanks tried hitting delete at start up and still nothing..

Try using the F2 or the F10 key. This requires timing...this must be done once you see your computer's brand name Splash screen but before it disappears.
