these stuff are around same price as what you chose in first post, but more performance
Core i7 920 + EVGA 132-BL-E758-A1 LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard
same price
G.SKILL 3GB (3 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory
+50 more for double capacity
G.SKILL 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory
If you want to save some money, go ahead and stay with LGA 775 and dual core
LGA 1366 is the future
So would everyone recommend going this i7 route for the same price as my original setup, or sticking with the BIOSTAR TPower I45 LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard and dual core route??? I'm not opposed to either way.
Is i7 really a big deal? Is was told quad cores are pretty much a waste at this point.
