Aparrently so as the 55nm does not clock higher then the 65nm from the reviews I have read admittedly only 2 as I keep getting distracted by other threads..... I will edit my postts if I find more details

Naga you should just xfire your 4870 1GB.

my p45 will run 8x 8x in crossfire....contrary to popular belief i think that will inhibit the perfomance substantially since this card uses so much bandwidth. CF 4850's i dont think would be a problem, but this is a beast of a card.

i think i will go ahead and sell my 4870 with the scythe while i can still get what i want for it. i'll use my gts 512 in my rig for now and wait for the prices to come down. if i can get a 280 for under 300 (even with a MIR) i will pounce on it like a tiger on a wild pig. or like 3rd on free beer.
if i lose my patience i will get the xfx 260/216 from ZZF they have it for 255.00 currently, 10 dollar 2 day fed-ex. thats a sweet deal.
