This sucks i was just about to step up from SLI 8800gt's i was going to get crossfire 2 x 4870 1 gb the HIS edition

but nVidia is still ddr3 and ATI is ddr5, so its still not as good at really high resolutions right?
what would be the fastest for 500 bucks:
1. 1 x 295 gtx
2. 2 x 260 core 216 SLI
3. 2 x 4870 Crossfire 1 gb HIS
i am pretty sure crossfire scales better from what i read tho....

even with the gddr5, the bandwidth isnt as good as nvidias top card.

Rave, when Nvidia finally decides to move up to GDDR4 or GDDR5. Once that day comes, ATI will be in deep ****.
Actually GTX 260 (216 Core) in SLI out performs the 4870X2. While the 4870X2 (512MB OR 1GB) will still perform under or on par with the 4870X2.
So the GTX 295 will be the best buy out of the three.
