DVD Bluescreen

Hi,

The problem I have is that every time I insert a DVD (game, movie) I get a bluescreen. Can someone help me with this problem??

check to see if dvd drive is hooked up properly. and is this dvd drive a IDE or SATA?

It seems this is a Kernel error. Most of the fixes that people have done have just been to reinstall Vista.

Ok
I unistalled some programs that i had installed this afternoon and when i inserted the dvd again got a differnt bluescreen

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

(that is all i could see in the 10 seconds the bluescreen was on)

That is mainly due to RAM issues. Download the ISO of MemTest86

Memtest86 - Download Page

Burn the ISO with ImgBurn.

Then reboot the system with the MemTest86 CD in the tray. It should run for roughly 4 hours to get accurate results. Post back witha picture if you can if not just write down the results and post those up.

OK i passed the test and I dont really know what do you mean with a picture of the results but it said there were 0 errors i can pass it again if i did something wrong

Run check disk on the drive. Open My Computer. Right click on the drive and select Tools. There you will see a option for error correcting. Select every option and try to run it. Will give a error that it cant run it while the system is on and will do it on the next reboot. Click okay and restart. You will see it go through the Check Disk then.

ok i did that and appeared without errors also,

i think it might have something to do with the drivers or something like that because the cd/dvd/ drive reads cd's perfectly but at the moment i insert a dvd it fails
