Will This Work Together?

It will work together, however you can go much cheaper and more efficient, especially if you're not gaming. How much would you realistically like to spend, and what are the uses?

You have a higher-end graphics card there, and high end ram, which won't do you any good if you're not gaming. You can get parts that will serve you the same purpose for less than half the price there.

If you do multitasking/editing, I'd recommend to you an Intel Quad Core.

And for a power supply, you won't need one of that calibur/price.

The 6000+ X2 89w model cpu and a better choice of supply would be a thought while the rest shouldn't be a problem. The 6000+ will be a bit faster while you can get into the 900 case and a better supply for less by shopping for those individually.

The bargain is now being seen on the OCZ GameXStream 700w supply seen at Newegg.com - OCZ GameXStream OCZ700GXSSLI 700W ATX12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready Active PFC Power Supply - Power Supplies

Another $109.99 sees the 900 at Newegg.com - Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases

That alone only saves $20 but gets you into a far better supply in the process since Antec is generally overpriced. Plus I'm already running the 900 case here with that model supply. :p

phenom's are cheaper and if you aren't gaming a phenom would be a better choice in the budget scene. a good 780g with onboard 3200hd will suit your needs, a decent setup of 4gb ram will be great for multitasking, 640 7200.11 WD hdd, sata dvd writer, case/mouse/keyboard/os if you need all that of your choice, a nice 24"/22" the bigger the better (depending on your uses for it) a pc power and cooling 550w or corsair 450w and you're good to go.

Newegg.com - MSI R4350-D512H Radeon HD 4350 512MB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

Comes to like $720, and it would give you better performance for your needs than the parts you picked out. The parts you picked would make a nice gaming computer, but if you're not gaming, you can put more money into other parts.

EDIT: Peter's idea would work too, if you want AMD:

= $640

(IF you want to go even cheaper, you always can).

Peter.Cort... You laughing at me cause I don't know what will work with what? I may not be smart in computing but I am very knowledgeable in my work which is Budweiser. I will learn and I appreciate all your guys help. I am the type who reads reviews and takes the knowledge of others and applies it to what is the best. Please build me a comp with an Asus board and an AMD processor. That is what I would like to have in my system. Thanks again for all your help guys!!!

Ok people listen up real good here! DoubleL states Board = Asus only! cpu = AMD only! Do you have that now?!

Newegg.com - BIOSTAR A780G M2+ SE AM2+/AM2 AMD 780G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard - AMD Motherboards
Newegg.com - AMD Phenom 9750 2.4GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 2MB L3 Cache Socket AM2+ 125W 65nm Quad-Core Processor - Processors - Desktops

add those two to ethan's build and knock off 105 from that. so 615 is your final if you go with my board/cpu/gpu.

someone will need to verify that my board/cpu combo actually will work together... lol.

Its good.. the whole 780g burn/blow up only occurs with Phenom 9850's or higher with a really cheap-o board (that board.. but don't put a Phenom 9850 and you are good :))
