stick with my ddr2 800 or upgrade to 1066

i have 4 of these for a total of 4gb

should i upgrade to ddr2 1066 or is ddr2 800 better due to lower timings?

Your current ram is good enough. You won't notice much of an improvement getting 1066mhz ram.

You're right there won't be any real improvement but only in some cases. Intensive processing tasks that need large buffers will go quite a bit faster. Games and general tasks you won't notice anything.

Go for 2X2GB sticks. It gives you more ram slots left open if you ever plan to add some more ram.
