Processor or Video Card?

Yeah, the 9800 pro sounds like a good choice, but isn't that like 200ish american. I think that would put him over his limit, but I could just be shopping in the wrong place

I saw a $180 9800 Pro at Fry's I thought, but if thats to expensive he can get a 9600XT for that price range

OK, I'm pretty good with computers, but I'm new to video cards and such, because games never used to be this good lol. So whats the difference between this: ATI AIW RADEON 9600 Video Card, 128MB DDR, 128-bit, CATV/Video Out/Video In, 8X AGP

and this: Radeon 9600 XT 128 MB AGP Card

Because the first one is cheaper.

well, the first one is a stock standard model, and the second one is an XT which basically means its been beefed up heaps . the second one would be better, but if you go with an XT, make sure that its 256Mb

The first one is the All-In-Wonder. It is (basicaly) a video card with a TV tuner, and video capture capability.
