Looking to build or buy a new gaming pc.
Have this in mind.
q6600, 9800 gt 1024, 750gb 7200, 4gb ram 800mhz, 750w psu.
looking to spend 700-800 gbp.
want to wait for windows 7.
Any help appreicated.
Thanks in advance. :)

By the time Windows 7 comes out, that stuff will be outdated and/or half the cost it is now, probably.

Yes, Vista is quite good, all rants about them after SP1, are all lies... or they are just n00bs

SP1 made Vista loads better. I was among the initial Vista haters, if that's any assurance.

Windows 7 out in 2 weeks? o_O Where the **** did you hear that?

Think it was google news. not sure. anyway. Vista is needed for gaming so i will have to settle for that.

Personally I never had a issue with Vista except for a few things being a little harder to do. Like changing the location of the user and public folder after a install, but no big deal really. Was always more stable for me, especially when I would overclock to much and would have a bad boot.
