Hot Laptop

Hi i have an acer aspire laptop heres the specs

T5800 2.0ghz
4gig ddr2
Graphics media accelerator 4500mhd
250gig HD

i noticed the laptop feels hot on my lap so i downloaded speedfan to check the temperture it was running at 55c but this goes up to 60 - 65c When i was playing warrock. is this ment to go up so much. at this second in time i have programs like
msn
mcafee
limwire
skype
steam (not playing a game though)
power iso

the temperture is 54C is this normal or is it too hot? ifit is not do you have any tips?

im running windows vista home 32bit
any help would be apperciated thankz

if you've got the laptop in your lap at them time that might be why your not actually supposed to do that cause it stops the airflow i think and plus your legs would warm up and it would just be sucking in warm air. try having it on a desk with and ice pack under it or something if your that worried about it over heating.

instead of creating another thread im gonna post in here. so iv noticed my laptop is starting to feel a bit hot on the plastics on the out side.

temp 1: 58C

dose temp one refer to the cpu?. if yes is 58C getting hot.

it depends. speed fan is crap so i wouldn't use it. but 58 is fine..

when i look at it on speedfan it has a flame next to it and not a tick. is it fine?

keeping in mind that this is a intel celeron, a single core procesore is the temp fine.

if it gets above 75c then you have a problem. just try to keep it in good air flow. 60c is a little warm for me see if you can bump up the fan speed thru speed fan
