This Gaming GFX CArd Good?

Buy the XFX 9600 GT OC 512MB PCI-E Graphics Card Online at PC World.

Surely this would be a good graphics card for someone who wants to play Halo 1 on their PC and a few other games, right?

it's a very good card, unfortunately they are pretty much sold out nationwide because of that price though.

Its a card steering more towards the budget side, but a very good one at that.

Infact its overkill for halo Will run it effortlessly.

What other games did you have in mind?

That card will be able to cope very well with titles such as bioshock ,COD4, COD:WAW and any of the source games for example (not on resolutions that are bit over the top for it though). Will cope well with last year and before's titles too . And will run some of the more newer games out now, all bet it on low settings though.
