:( Sorry to bring up this thread again I know it was killed about 4 days ago. I plan on ordering today so I had to do a final check. I talked to Koldapu online and he said my loadout looked like it would be all fine except since some of my parts are oem they require some cables that do not come with the package.

Koldpu (btw thanks for advice kold) said I needed to make sure I had:

-you need two sata cables for the hdds
-and the dvd-rw, you need an ide cable
-get a "rounded cable" they're smaller
-and sata . . . regular
theyre already small to begin with
-also, make sure your psu has sata power adapters

I am not familiar with annnnnny of these products and woudln't know a horrible one from a great one? Could some of you please help me find these products at newegg.com? If you can help me that would be great. Here is the list of all the components to my computer so far. If you skim through and find something that is not compatible with other things please tell me.

Yeah np. I still hate you for having an awesome comp =P
But yeah lets review:

"-you need two sata cables for the hdds"
When you're talkin cables...there really isn't a good brand or bad brand its all relatively the same...the only differences now-a-days are wether they are sleeved for better cable management. Just go to a site and check out their CABLES & ADAPTORS type section if they have it. You HAVE to look for SATA CABLES because you have a SATA HD. Here's a selection of SATA Cables.

http://www.svc.com/sata.html

Now on to the next =) :
"
-and the dvd-rw, you need an ide cable
-get a "rounded cable" they're smaller"

Aright, you know what an IDE is cable....its the big flat grey ribbon that goes from your motherboard to your HD's or in this case your DVD-RW drive, normal HD's require IDE drives but remember yours are SATA and we discussed that =). He says get ROUND CABLES cause those are just sleeved IDE Cables for once again...better airflow and better cable management. Here is a selection of ATA Round cables.

http://www.svc.com/cables-ata-100-133-round-cables.html
(someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe those are indeed the cables he's looking for for his DVD-RW)

"-and sata . . . regular
theyre already small to begin with" Aright well you already have your cords for the HD. And I think what he's talking about in this sense is the power cords for the SATA. This is where it gets kind of fuzzy for me cause I've never dealt with SATA. You have to make sure though like he said

"-also, make sure your Power Supply has SATA power adapters"
The first SATA cords I linked you to just are to go from your drives to the motherboard for information relay..you still need to give them power. Thats what he means and he's saying that those cables are already pretty small so you shouldn't need to look for 'round cables' like you should for IDE cables. So you need to look at your PSU and make sure you have power connectors for your SATA drives. They will be small and flat generally. If anything you can always buy a couple of these:

http://www.svc.com/6sapoadca.html

that's a 4pin to SATA power connector adaptor. It doesn't have a splitter though so you'd be taking up an entire 4pin connector for that.

Hope this clears some things up. I might have screwed up a long the way but that should be everything you need. Double check with Kold or I suppose someone else will cross reference me here in a few mins. =P Good luck
