as confusing as the title is, its quite self-explanitory.

I'm finally buying a replacement for my blown 2100, and was originally going to get a 2500, but thought i'd look at 2600s also since theyre not much more.

why are there so many 2600s?
i know a 266 fsb one might be mobile... or a really old tbred technology of some sort...
then theres the same one but a different fsb... (333)
then theres a 333 but with a lower overall clock speed (which is actually cheaper than the 2500)

soo....

which one's the best?

I was sorta hopeing for a 2600, and thought the one with the lowest clock speed would probably be the best/newest because it would seem that a newer proc would have a lower clock than an older one....

sorry if this is confusing people, and that my conventions are bad... Im getting lazy... plus i just got home from school...

whatever.. any info you can give will probably help.
thanks in advance.

whoa! those are some good prices!!!

The 3000+ and 3200+ are 400mhz fsb.. although you can get the 3000 in a 333fsb chip

Yes.
The 3200 400mhz version actually runs at a lower overall clock than the 3000 333mhz, if I remember correctly.

Not so my good fellow!
The 333 xp3000 (what i have) runs at 2.167mhz wheres the xp3200 is 2.2mhz

If it was just a typo then yes ur right:) the 400 xp3000 runs at 2.100mhz

what about a Barton 3000+ with 400MHZ FSB

man, that site is way to overpriced!! because u live in the worlds best country, :D go here to get ur comptuer stuff, they've got reasonable deals on Kingston ram, but sadly no corsair
