Is there any reason to OC this kind of computer?

Is 4GB RAM really fast on 64?

Well, 64 bit will actually read all the 4gb of RAM, 32bit wouldn't, it has a cap before it reaches 4gb.

As for overclocking, you could, but you probably won't have to. It will be plenty fast enough.

I doubt that... like all the Intel Yorkies its pretty FSB Hole containing... low multipliers make it hard to OC, he'll get around 3.5ghz

We shouldn't try to get his hopes up for 3.8+

3.8 on water maybe. Its still a quad after all. The dualies can only get to about 4.0Ghz really.

well the multi on the q9400 is 8 so on a good board like the biostar p45 shouldn't bee hard to get 500mhz fsb

not really about the ability of the q9400 to overclock but more that the multi really holds you back, casung you to have a bigger fsb
