Raidmax has bad quality, I recommend avoiding them.

The Corsair 650tx mentioned before would run a GTX 280 without a problem.

i ran one with a 550vx. dont know if that is highly suggested though. corsair's psus are ridiculously stable and efficient, though...so that helps.
my card draws almost as much power as a 280 and my 550vx runs it fine.

There is only a $2 difference in price between the 500vx and 650tx so he might as well get the 650.
